Uber drivers get a referral bonus for each person they get to sign up as a driver with the company. Not only that, the new driver receives a sign-up bonus too. They have to give a few rides before they are able to receive the bonus.
You will have to be good at talking to people and getting them to sign up.
If you target a certain city, because they offer a higher sign-up bonus, this may involve you driving long distances.
My advice would be to act sooner rather than later as the offer may be higher at the moment with Uber being a new company. The need for drivers is still high at the moment so now would be a good time to get involved.
